Physical activity and mental health

Several studies support the relationship between physical activity and psychological health, and that physical exercise creates a feeling of control on himself and the functions of our body.

This generates a welfare state in the individual which leads him to be motivated, besides being found that exercise training does away the pressure and anxiety, giving a feeling of physical and mental wellbeing by the secretion of endorphins, so much so that older people who practice physical activity may notice that they feel younger and consequently have a greater degree of social integration.

Furthermore there is a close relationship between physical activity and mental health, which begins in childhood, where children who exercise since childhood and continue into adulthood consolidate this lifestyle and reach a much more pleasant old age.

Physical activity should be understood as part of a person’s life, being intimately connected not only physically but also psychologically and socially.

It is always positive physical activity associated with mental health, as regular exercise brings psychological benefits such as improved perception of the welfare state, which can be applied to all ages and sexes but each with its peculiarities.
